The Terror of Mecha-Dave is the second half of the sixth episode of Dave the Barbarian.

Synopsis[]

Dave hears rumors about himself ruining towns while on the way to the fabled 'Cliffs of Fabulous Shopping'.

Plot[]

Candy is upset at Cheesette because she got her a dumb fish cuckoo clock instead of a cute top to go with her other cute things. Dave convinces her to make Cheesette guilty by buying her something super good instead of him beating her up. Dave then says that he's going with Fang, Faffy and Oswidge to go buy a special gear to fix a clockwork model of Udrogoth and get some fudge chocolate.

Dave, Faffy, Fang and Oswidge head to the Cliffs of Fabulous Shopping to buy it on a shuttle. Along the way, they pass through a village, but to their shock, the villagers accuse Dave of ruining the village and attack, causing the family to leave in horror. Oswidge consults his crystal ball for answers, and to their surprise, Dave is shown ravaging the village despite Dave Himself Claiming And Crying 😭 He Didn't Then Later Along The Way To The Cliffs Of Fabulous Shopping 🛍 Dave Starts To Get Shuttle Carsick And Dave Starts To 🤢 And🤮 (Causing The Villagers To Get Dirty And Stinky).

Meanwhile, Candy is having no success finding a gift, so she heads to the Cliffs of Fabulous Shopping too on Twinkle the Marvel Horse, who is losing his sanity from being in the stable too much.

During Dave's travel there, he keeps getting attacked in every village they ride through. When they approach a rock, Dave tells his family that he's going off to find who framed him. Suddenly, he is pulled behind it by two hands. When he reappears, he reveals that he somehow got the answer in the span of nearly 5 secs: the villages were pillaged not by Dave, but by Mecha Dave, an evil clockwork clone made by Chuckles the Silly Piggy.

They travel to the lair, where they see that it is conveniently located in the Cliffs of Fabulous Shopping, and Chuckles works there part-time. Chuckles presses a button, revealing what they think is a chained up Mecha Dave. The family assaults him, and Oswidge turns himself into a newt. The chained Dave exclaims that they were tricked-HE'S the LEGIT Dave while the other is Mecha Dave. He cries 😭 and begs for mercy to prove it, only for the other Dave to disprove him by crying 😭 and begging too. Fang and Oswidge are a little bit confused, so Oswidge thinks of destroying both so they'd be sure to get the fake. Suddenly, Candy shows up and solves the mystery and guesses the right answer because of the giant key in Mecha Dave's back. Chuckles prepares to annihilate them all by using his amulet to reanimate to dummies, but Dave saves the day but rearranging the gears inside Mecha Dave, reprogramming him for good and sends him to beat Chuckles And 🤮. Dave gives some fudge to Candy to give to her friend as a gift.

Dave: Hey, why don't you just buy her something super nice, and make her feel really guilty?

Candy: I like it! And it allows me to punish her by using my awesome shopping powers!

Chuckles: Actually, it's the Evil Lair Boutique! I just work here part time to pick up extra money.

[Chuckles is interrupted by a customer.]

Shoppin' Gal: Do you have Junior Ms. Body Armor?

Chuckles: Aisle 6, by the accessory daggers.

[Oswidge casts a magic spell and turns himself into a newt.]

Oswidge: Note: In future, point magic wand away from self.

Oswidge: Which is the true dave, and which the machine? No man can say.

Oswidge: Normally, I wouldn't ask, but this is cutting into my fudge time!

[Candy points out that Mecha-Dave has a clockwork key in his back.]

Oswidge: I thought it was some kinda

gross 🤢.

Mecha-Dave: My programming has been changed, Chuckles. I am now commanded to pound you into bacon mist 🤢 🤮.

Chuckles: Ew What (Starts To Slip And Fall.)

Chuckles: Get away! I'm too pink to die!

and I am so dirty just like 👍 Pufferty from Tickety Toc.

Trivia[]

The title of the episode is similar to the 1975 Godzilla film, Terror of Mechagodzilla.

Running Gags[]

Villiagers attack Dave as they mistake him for Mecha-Dave.
Characters not noticing Oswidge is a newt and assume he changed his hair.

Goof[]

When Dave tries to prove himself as the real dave, Lula refuse to say a word to reveal herself and Dave as the real deal.
